That's odd. I know their forums can be a little slow sometimes. Give it a little bit of time, I'm sure someone will chime in eventually.

considering it's the same block, it would bolt right up. but, there are other issues you'll have to contend with, as in vac ports, temp sensor, brackets, etc.
i'm not familiar with the 4.7 as i have a 5.2 dak 4x4. but you should be fine, you may need the throttle body from the 08 and find out what else has been changed due to emissions.
not sure if it's still around, but i used to be on the S.W.O.R.D. (south western ontario regional dakota) site. you may be able to find out there, as most were into modding the v8 daks.
actually, here is the link.
it looks like they changed the site from dakota's to dodges. and i'm not registered anymore.

thanks guys!
yea i have to buy an adaptor for the new throttlebody because the 08 has an electronic one... but im pretty sure i got all the info i need
the only thing im still questionable about is how hard is it to swap and do i need new gaskets if it even needs gaskets...

shouldn't be that difficult, take a few good pics of the setup before you start. also mark and number each plug or line you remove. then if you get stuck, just look at the before pics.
and always use new gaskets. you should be able to find out when you order any gaskets whether they are used or not. if there's no part number, there's prolly no gasket....
good luck.
