Update 10/5/12

Underside is painted with POR 15 and undercoated with rubberized undercoating.







The sides are also hit with POR 15, until we decide what we are doing.



Today we will hit the insede with POR 15 and then the truck bed liner.

Well we flipped the tub, little cold and rainy to paint.
Will do the POR and bed liner Tuesday it is supposed to warm up to 60 ish.

Got the tub and chassis swapped around.

Got the skid plate off, cut all the extra brackets off the frame.
Cut the body mounts off.
Ready to pull rear axle.
lots of rust repair.

Oics will follow monday.

Pictures as promised.

Frame stripped of all extra brackets and stuff.
Note pile in center, that is grinding dust.
Rear cross member is off it will be replaced.



Some idiot cut windows into the frame so they could nut and bolt the skid plate, will need to fix that.



If you look carefully you can see the whole inner wall of the frame is rusted away.



More rust, front spring perch.
It will be taken off and the frame plated.



Same as above, rear spring perch area.

Update 10/10/12

Tub sprayed with truck bed liner.









Frame stripped of all brackets and rear axle.
I got one patch welded on the outer R frame rail did not get a picture.





Getting closer to putting the body on the frame.

Update 10/15/12

Well the frame is getting there.
Rear horns are plated inside and out, and bottom has a double layer.
Cut up the old YJ frame and used the metal from that.

Passenger side outer welded on.



Driver outer and inner and passenger inner fitted.







My buddy the owner of the Jeep welde the 3 last rear patches on and made the 4 for the middle of the frame.

He welded on the middle inners.
I have no pics yet, got home at 11 PM from work last night.

Update 10/16/12

New rear spring perches on the way from supplier. (Both FR and RR)
New bushing for the RR leafs too.
Since it was off could not see putting old warn out back on.

Update 10/25/12

Frame is patched.
New weld nuts installed for the skid plate.
New Trans mount installed.
Leafs rebuilt with new bushings (Both ends)
New hanger bushings installed.
YJ crossmember converted to CJ.

Rear crossmember will go on tonight also.
Will weld on the new leaf spring hangers tonight.
Then set the body on it and weld the body mount brackets back on in the correct location.

Nitro out.

Welding is done, except 1 ebrake cable bracket.
Body is positioned correctly, all 10 bolts line up.
May actually mount tub for last time.

Update 11/11/12

Well the frame is done, welded, cleaned.
Painted with POR15 and rubberized underbody.
Took advantage of the warm weather.

Will put the body on for the last time and start reassembly.
