Default New Jeep Gladiator?

I was looking up the old 1960s gladiator trucks and came along a article about a new Jeep Gladiator. The article is alittle dated, But has anyone heard anything about this? it looks pretty cool in my opinion

Heres the link if anyone's interested http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...-gladiator.htm

Will someone please explain to me the motive with the 3.7 V6? I really dont understand why they went to the V6 instead of the inline6. The V6 gets horrible gas milage compared to the 4.0 and the 2.7 deisel. stock power is ok i guess but there are'nt really that many upgrades for it. If I'm wrong for some reason please correct me or give me another motive

Better to buy an LJ than a TJ. TJ you'll have to stretch the frame in the kit which is one of the things that gives it an 8K price tag. LJ's are factory stretched and you'd just need to make a cab for it or buy one. I want an LJ so bad to do this too but the wallet just does not agree with me.
