Default Need some help. Lift on a TJ

Ok hi thereeee (:
I have a TJ that a friend of mine wants to do a 2inch lift on.
Heres the thing, hes doing it kind of like spacers but its a metal round thing that he bought from home depot.
They are two inches tall and two inches across. He did it on his Grand Cherokee and it looks pretty legit and nice.
I don't know just lemme know

We have been driving on the lift for two days and so far seems good. No problems at all.
This is pretty much a 97cent redneck lift haha.

After the wheel was taken off

Now for some reason I didn't get a picture of the coil off or anything. Don't ask I'm kinda slow hahaha
But here's the pic after we removed and put the shocks back on and the coil back on.

See the little black "spacerthingy" ontop of the coil?
We got a good 2.5"inches

I'm such a wonnnnnderful photographer
But anyway, we did measure and it was 2.5" lift.
Pretty much it was just stuff we had lying around.
The 97cents was for a can of spray paint!

Next is 33s.....

Holy crap I dont want to drive next to this thing on the highway.
The stock isolater is only made of rubber on the outside and may wear funny allowing the spring to shift in any direction at the top of the mounts. Ya the spring may not go anywhere but I'm sure it may move enough to change to suspension geometry(sp). Yes its a quick cheap way to lift it but is the savings worth safety? That coupler is also a cast part and may have imperfections in it that could crack over time. I think spending a couple hundred bucks is well worth the thousands he spent on the purchase of his rig. Budget boosts are made for this reason and will perform better too.
Not trying to bust your chops, his idea has merit but do things the right way. If he dosent mind trimming he can get 35s under it using the stock suspension.

I mean I honestly really had no idea. Like I said, this is my boyfriends so it was up to him to do this.
We drove on the highway yesterday and when they were making this lift I guess someone messed something up with the front swaybar and it broke. The pin on the one side came out making the thing useless.
We drove it on the highway (me holding on for dearlife. New Jersey has the most WONDERFFFFUL exit turns) and once we got to a friends we snagged a nut and secured it. Kinda.
He has some 33s now to put on it. I am kinda worried about it.
Took it offroad yesterday as well, no problems.
I guess we shall see.
Trust me, when I get my XJ I AM NOT doing it this way...

Just go back to stock or get 4 spacers there only like 30 bucks for a pair. This thing is going to kill someone going down the road.

Yeah I really don't like it.
When I get my XJ there is no way I'm going this route.
