need input on motorcycle
I've been looking at mid 80's Honda Rebel 250's. From what I can gather that bike would statistically work perfect for me. I'm the correct height/weight, and have no riding experience, so it'd apparently work out well. And they're CHEAPPP too.
Whats you're all's insight? Any other Rebel or previous Rebel owners here?

honestly, i think you will outgrow that bike in under a month. all rebels are awesome bikes, with EXCELLENT gas mileage, regardless of year.
but they are quite a bit under today's motorcycle standards. maybe consider a shadow. even then you might outgrow it much sooner than you think.

And I've got a lowered 600, I can run through the twisties with the best of them. Just ask the edges of my tires.

I wish I could have another bike. I traded my 91 zx6 for a suv when my first son was born and now my old lady won't let me get another one not that I can afford one just yet

I have a Honda Sabre and love it, not a crotch rocket but alot more comfortable. I also own a 1982 KZ 1000 LTD Kawasaki that I ride every once in a while, I have historical plates on it and don't have to buy them again for 40 years.

Thanks man!
man that's a nice looking bike you have! and yea its definitely got to be A LOT more comfortable than mine. mine has a half inch of padding on the seat and a stiff suspension. but hey i cant complain, it was made for speed over comfort.

also since im still a little new to bikes, on mine when going from a stop in 1st, in order for my clutch to grab the lever is literally a quarter inch from being completely engauged before it grabs. is that normal. my first couple stop and go situations I killed the engine because I wasnt used to the clutch yet.

Y a I mean every bike is different, but you will adapt to the clutch feel in a matter of weeks. I was the same way and its unreal how comfortable you get on the bike within the first 500 miles.
You can adjust the clutch pull by turning the ***** on The Back side of the Levers, if they are in fact cable driven... If Hydraulic They may be needing to be Bled! But def shouldnt be quite that close! Also you'll have a little roll type adjuster on the lever themselves to adjust the Pull Length... Play with it a bit!

The roll type adjusters are in the inside of your Levers, You just turn it one way or the other& it adjusts the cable... Just like on your Huffy as a kid! The Pazzo Levers, what I use at least are shorter, much shorter then the OE ones, have a little lever on it for adjusting for your finger length. Also If/When you wreck the levers dont break off on first impact so you're still able to ride if home if it doesnt have other catastrophic type issue, blablablibidybla... Plus They just look awesome!& I Love em!
