i'm converting a 85 f150 manual to an automatic, I have a c6 that i'm swapping in....I need to know if anyone has used the mr gasket universal shifters?http://www.jcwhitney.com/performance.../p2001160.jcwx
its a cheap project not looking to spend 200 plus on a lokar shifter,

also, if anyone knows the diamater of the trans cooler lines?...I'm guessing 5/16" but not sure

ther gonna be more like 3/8 dont see why the shifter wont work

im probably going to make /buy a kit and put nipples on the ports, and run rubber line

Buy a complete trans cooler kit with steel braided hoses, rubber hoses will start to sweat and leak after a short time.

i'm trying to get away as cheap as possible, i cant talk my wife into getting rid of the truck, it needs way more work than i want to put into it...issue is i work 30 miles from home, she works 2, and i cant get it thru her head how to drive a stick...4 clutch sets in 3 years....it makes more sence to drive the jeep that gets 22mpg, vs the 10mpg truck.....after i convert it, i'm planning on planting the idea on a regular basis that we need something else

3/8" cooler lines on that. rubber is ok for a little while. just make sure it is cooler line. and the mr gasket shifters work OK.
