My gf left the car idiling for 12 hours
When I got off work my gf sent me a text telling me she locked the keys in the car while running and left it in our driveway, it's a wonder it stayed on because it was already super low on gas. When I got home I immediately turned it off, the temperature gauge was reading normal and the car was idiling fine at the time. Now when I turn the car on it will try and turn over and then it will sputter and die. Hoping I'm just low on gas...any ideas? 2003 Mitsubishi galant

gas solved the issue. Had to use the xj to pull it to a gas station..which was hillarious...thanks for the replys dudes

You know Ive learned the hard way about that low on gas thing. Was ready to rebuild a carburetor a few weeks ago on my rx7 when I said let me test the fuel pump. fuel pump was drippling fuel out. Took fuel pump off and tested it, it was good. Hooked it back up, added some gas and it runs. Yep im an a$$hole lol
