i had a 96 dakota (last year if the previous body style) with the magnum v6. i loved it. nevar got around to modding or wheeling with it. i was working too many hours at the time. but i had a lot of fun in the snow with it.

My first "wheeler" was a 2WD; front drive '74 DL coupe. That sucker would go anywhere, and as long as I had a head of steam, would slide right over the high bottom spots.

My second "wheeler" was also 2WD. '69 Kaiser DJ Postal jeep. With the short wheel base and good tires/clearance I don't think anyone figured out it was 2WD. I kept up with the 4x4 guys, with just good driving technique.

WHy you traded it in with all that stuff is beyond me, but pretty funny.

My first off-road 2wd truck was a 96 dakota.. 3.9L/5spd, longbed .. 4" lift and 32's only got stuck once. I have had a few 2wd early 80s yota's (some of the best trucks on the planet) and I never got any of em stuck. Am currently on the lookout for a 93-95 Dakota 318/5spd/2wd .. fun trucks (=
