ok, just wondering if a mid 80's power ram with a rebuilt motor rollin on 39s with an 8ft box that needs paint and an new tail gate is worth $1700-2000. i guy i work with offered it to me, any thoughts? i would like to have it but rite now i have 2 xjs and 1 zj, (1 xj and the zj dont have motors), and i think i would make my dad made if i brought home another truck. any input appreciated.

I had one when I was 19. That thing was a beast. If I were you I'd get it and get rid of the junked xj's if you're not going to do anything with then soon. Hope you have enough gas money if you do decide to get it.

Edit: I'd also offer maybe 1500. Really depends on the overall condition.

the condition of it right now is that the rear drive shaft is out, it needs paint cuz it is only primer, and a tailgate. the body has hardly any rust, (a spot on the bottom corner of the cab in back on both sides) the motor got rebuilt cuz 2 cam lobes got rounded off, so it has a new cam, cam gear, timing chain, lifters, pushrods, and rebuilt heads.

$1000??? That's what I got for mine when I sold it years back and it was on 40" boggers.

well i went to our local junkyard to c what i would get for my xj and zj if i were 2 scrap them, $75 a ton, and they have to check with the DMV to see if is stolen or not...which might be a problem. the xj is abandoned NOT STOLEN, and i bought it as a package deal to get the xj im driving now. do u think that would be a problem
