I have a 2005 F150 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat and I want to put a 4"-4.5" lift on it and eventually some 35's. What would be the best lift to get as far as value goes? It's my DD so I want it to be practical and something that won't damage my truck. I was looking at a Rough Country 4" and it seemed reasonable. What do you guys think?

Ehhh I don't know, that isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I am definitely going with a suspension lift though, I hate body lifts...

I'm going this route because my stock shocks are shot all the way around thats an easy 400-600 depending on the shock to replace it. the front springs are soft another 100 each to replace those then add a leveling kit and i'm at a grand so might as well go out and get a high performance coil over that I can rebuild when the time comes

Oh well my springs are in decent shape. This is what I'm thinking about.

On a seemingly impossible quest to fine a set of 35x12.50R-18 tires. I really don't wan't to have to buy new rims, I like the look of the stockies anyway.

Awesome. What tires are you running? I'm thinking maybe Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Also was the install tough?

I have Mickey T Baja ATZ's 35"12.5 ...To be honest, the install was a bit of a pain in the ****, since theres more to the suspension then an XJ's. (Diff Drop, steering knuckles, new cmembers, etc) but its pretty painless if you have some knowhow, its just more tedious.

Alright. I have no knowhow myself, but I've got a buddy with a shop who could do it for me. Im trying to choose the right tire with a good price. If I could fine street tires that were 35x12.5R18 I'd get them, I won't be doing much in the mud. Definitely wanna be able to ride them for a couple years if I can.

Also how does your truck turn the tires? Any power loss?

Nope it turns em fine, Dont feel any power loss reallyLook at Wrangler Authorities or something like that (A not to agressive thread all terrain).. Or cooper/bf goodrich makes nice all terrains with lower price tags..... another tip with the lift, a regular chassis lift would make it easier, I did it with a floor jack and stands...
