Land rover Discovery?
My Father has been looking into a 01 land rover discovery for his next car, and has said that it is better offroading stock then a jeep. Is this true? and if so why?

My friend has a D2, does very well off road suprisingly with the larger overhangs it has. Can't go bigger than a 32 or 33 without doing axles though.

Alot has to do with the traction control system they run. Makes them almost as good as having front and rear lockers..

lockers lock in both wheels on an axle to get traction. without it only one wheel gets power.
as a mechanic, i would ask him what his second vehicle will be while the land rover is in the shop. terrible vehicles, always need repairs.

even scheduled maintenance is hi. brakes alone are around 500 bux off the top of my head. i've had to disassemble t cases to reseal, which i do on jeeps all the time, but land rover costs double what a jeep does. and there's a plethera on the naxja link above.

Pm Roxtar on Naxja.... He is the owner of a business making LR off-road parts. He is also a straight shooter and won't sugar coat it.
