Default just changed my spark plugs...

just changed the spark plugs in my 2004 dodge neon and now today when i got out of my car i heard a bubbling, so i looked under the hood and the coolant in the reservoir was bubbling... agh!! it is hot here in az... 116 is the high today, but have never heard of coolant boiling like this. any ideas? help? thanks!

looks like there's oil in there too... hope this isn't a head gasket issue...

hey i live in gilbert too


and sounds like something failed in the coolant system.

either a temp sensor not allowing the fans to come on or a massive air bubble... or a clog....


so a full coolant system flush and then go from there and see what happens


watch it over the next few days following it up tho

alright i don't think it was oil in there now... but i flushed the coolant system and changed the radiator cap. will keep an eye out and hopefully it's fixed.

That's what the reservoir is for :0

Make sure your fan is engaging when the vehicle reaches operating temperature. Probably have two so make sure the one that isn't engaged by AC comes on at operating temp
