Jeep Wrangler Issues, acceleration, muffler
Let me start this post off by saying, I'm completely new to cars. I've fixed a few issues on my Ford Escape, but I don't have the experience with repair as some may have so take it easy on me.
1994 Jeep Wrangler It's my roommates. I took it for a spin today to see what was wrong and how I could help before she takes it to a mechanic. She doesn't seem to care much about the car, but I really want to fix it because it's just something that I feel would be valuable experience. First thing I noticed is that it seems like something is wrong with the muffler. It's loud as hell and emits a really terrible gasoline like odor. It also doesn't seem to want to accelerate and when I do, the sound is even worse. Where should I start? Can I give you guys any more specifics that would help? Thank you so much in advance |
First thing this is Cherokeeforum.com,
Not wranglerforum.com Second this is oem cherokee tech. Third there is an "other vehicles" section...... this belongs there, so I'm moving it there. |
I'd let her pay a for a mechanic unless your trying to get laid or something.
