Default Jeep liberty belt problem

Speaking about my mother's Jeep....

It goes through belts like I have never seen before... cheap belts, name brand expensive belts... it ends up splitting them into ribbons... There is no static adjustment so I'm wondering... WTF is going on with it? I checked the pulleys to see if there was sharp edges or something cutting the belt... all seems fine and nothing is touching the belt... nothing stands out.

A belt will typically last about 6 months

The dealership can't find anything wrong......

Anybody ever hear this happening? Anything else I can check?
