I'm at a loss. Any ideas?!?
2007 Ford Focus with the 2.0 4-cylinder DOHC.
The battery light had come on after my dad suggested using the Focus to jump the XJ. Went to A/Z, they tested the battery and alt, and said the battery was barely holding charge, and alt was good and giving off 14 volts as it should. Anyway, went and changed in a brand new duralast battery, and the light is STILL on.
What am I missing here??

Would the OBD system register it as a code and then throw the light? Because I thought OBD only controlled the Check Engine Light. Then again, I don't know much about these newer models. Everything is CPU controlled anymore.

My cousin had a SVT Focus. He chased the battery light forever. Even had the dealer (used car dealer) trying to figure it out and they never did. Seems a common problem with them.

UPDATE!!
So my old man took the focus back to West VA today, and he called me just before he arrived to tell me the battery light went off by itself. He said he was gunnin it up the mountain, and the battery light just turned off. Guess this is a good thing.
