Just as the post says i dont like other forums. i had my 00 xj for 6 months and then decided to go to college and had to part ways with it. Im getting another xj as a grad present so till then i have to get my fix with my daily driver.

Tonight ill be chopping the bumper/relocating the fog lights and installing the tow hooks i got for free. But so far i have a flowmaster exaust and a jvc head unit. i also installed a roof rack three weeks ago but the cross braces i got were from a 1st gen explorer and mines a second so i had to cut a slit out on each track and pull all the clips out and then mount my roof rack up and proceed to put bumstop welds on the tracks to keep everything from sliding then i took a metal bonding glue from work that i use on recalls and put that in front and back to keep it from moving even more. Up went the spare tire with rachet straps i got for $3 from a friend. SCORE!!!! and so and so on. lol. i plan on doing a couple other things just looking that half fix that a jeep should be filling but its something. hope to get some followers. so enjoy. ill answer any questions also.

So as I said I welded up my tow hooks last night that were pulled off of a gmc jimmy. I pulled my bumper off which was a pain bc of all the rust. Ditched all the plastic and set the fog lights aside for a later time.

As you can see here I had pulled the bumper off and there you can see my frame rails. I then took what I believe is 1/8 thick angle iron and welded it from the one rail to the other not only to balance out a flush flat area for the hooks but prolly stiffened a little bit to. I figured if I could break this off the frame I don't have enough truck for what I m pulling out.

(Sorry if there's doubles on some pics im doing this on my phone )
I know im only suppose to weld every other inch for an inch but it wasn't my wire. So better safe than sorry. Hooks got all welded up. Tack welded up the bumper temporarily until I can bolt it on. In a week or so ill get hold of some bedlinder and cover everything and then secure the bumper better. Post up more later.
