Default help with torsion bars.

so im kinda the go to guy in my shop class about lifts and a guy told me he cranked his torsion bars all the way and he wants more lifts but they apparently dont make a kit for his truck. what can he do to get more lift in the front. its a dodge dakota if that helps. i don't know what year.

sounds like he may already be maxed out.

I know you can someimtes "re-index" the torsion bars for more lift. Atleast with some chevys and some nissans I've heard of this. Not sure if the Dakota you can or not. He should probably live with it how it is until he can get something else that has aftermarket support.

i tryed to tell him to get a jeep. or atleast something with a solid front axle lol

over crankin the stock torsionbars is great for mall crawlin but i def wouldn't advise it for any kind of real off road use its all bad if you snap one of them bad boys
