Default drivetrain

The other day my 93 yj started clunking going up hills it got worse and worse now it does it going down the highway clunk, clunk, clunk yesterday the clunk was accompanied by an almost neutral feeling with a loud grind let off the gas and got right back in it and it went still with the clunk though anybody got any ideas? ??

I might mention it is like right below me and the weirdest part is I can sit in the road hold the brakes and stomp it it will turn the tires over with no pop or grind at all
