CJ with a 350
so ive got a CJ with a chevy 350 dropped in it. replaced the plugs,wires,cap and rotor... now it starts and idles fine but when you rev it you get a WICKED backfire/misfire of of the right bank. any ideas?

ABSOLUTELY. 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. its definitely NOT the firing order/wire placement. the carb was suggested to me by someone. its stupid dirty but it was just as dirty before and ive never seen a dirty carb cause a misfire on a particular cylinder/bank. mind blown at this point

timing been checked? can you tell if its more than one cylinder?

havent checked timing.... its only the one side for sure. running headers to cherry bombs and actually blasted the pass. side right off.

Jebus, can u put the old stuff back on and start emliminating things ? Maybe u got a fubar wire or plug.heck I donno I'm just guessing.

did you have it run before hand? possible sticking valve maybe bad cam lobe?
