We'll run the truck to all brush fires no matter how large or small. We need all the help we can get ya know? Thanks man. Sounds like you have a plan going. All the lights are ETD lights. The lightbar pictured will not be going on the truck as its to expensive to put lights in the bar. I was quoted over $5000 for replacement lights so the housing will just get sold. I just ordered a new lightbar from a local supplier, $500 off-brand 3w bulbs with ally lights and maybe takedowns. Can't remember for sure. Siren is one from NAPA due to a fireman works there and we got it for stupid cheap. Speaker is the same. Its really loud. Lol 200w siren with 200w speaker. Hurts my ears. We would put nice whelen lights on there but its a brush/woods truck not an engine. As of now, we have less than $2000 in the entire setup considering I've done most of the work...

So they got y'all balling on a budget! And I totally understand the not putting expensive lights up for a brush truck. I had made an assumption since you said the SO was gonna try and throw you some handmedowns. A good website to look at for Tips and tricks, and used EV stuff is elightbars.org. Really cool forum with a buncha blinkie nuts as they say lol.
Yea we're having to keep it as cheap as possible if we want to spend $1000 on awesome tires. Im trying to talk them into some KM2's or the like of the 35" variety on a nice set of H1 double beadlocks... yumm...
Yea actually nothing from the SO has worked out. Lol imagine that. Im an avid watcher/reader of elightbars.. dern fools got to much money for lights. Lol. I have $68 in my pov. Two grille lights, two rear lights, side protection, and a dash light. Bright and works very well.

WHACKERS! At least I'm not the only one lol. ELB is my bathroom read lol. I like looking at the setups and the forsale section. I run amber white because of my side jobs. The siren amp is just for fun and is wired to a kill switch so my friends can't kick it on. But that website is actually really cool. I'm trying to get my unit to sell this old federal rotator. They just got new lenses in so they might want me to outfit onto something. Switching to tires, I love my KM2s off-road but they are marginal on road interms of wear.
Deff take some pics! Wish ours ran like a caddy. Right now it runs like a 2stroke with a bad miss... lol

Added more lights above the rear fender on each side. Got them wired up. Finished removal of paint/crap on the pump and valves and lines. New red paint on everything, didn't get a pic yet. Gotta finish painting the skid unit floor and gotta clean the truck out then lettering and still waiting on the light bar. Gonna go paint some more in a bit. Im so ready for this truck to be finished...

Haven't been on in a while, so I just got to see 3 more pages at once. Looks awesome. I wrecked my xj and just recently got it road worthy again. May have to make a thread for that. Glad you got the fuelling issue figured out. They're not bad, those diesels. I have a diesel vw now, had a similar problem with leak down from sitting overnight. Turned out to be a small crack in a hard plastic line. If you haven't done so already, change out all the old fuel system bits you can do cheaply. That and run some Diesel Purge through, and it should be worry free for a while.

Once the truck is placed in service and running calls, we'll be fine tuning everything. New filters, hoses, the works... just getting it ready for service is proving a lengthy deal as is.
On a side note, got some more work done to the truck today. Gave it a bath, took it offroad with Chief also. Drove like a champ through mud and sand with the tank full of water. The search for tires begins. Looking 33-37" military tires if anyone knows where I can get some cheap. 16.5" rim obviously. I'm willing to travel to a neighboring state if the deal is right.
