bad AC pulley ?

bad AC pulley ?
its a 2004 saturn ion
have a lot of noise up front tension pulley was loose so replaced that and that belt doing that i noticed ac pulley was loose and noisy too. after putting it back together noise is still there. it does go away with AC on.
so can the pulley be replaced on the AC or do I need to replace the whole compresser?
Its my girls car so a solution can not be "sell the saturn"
