i got a problem in my 96 vw gti. the trans is flairing into 2nd and 2nd only. i found 2 harnesses going into the trans from the engine bay and it almost looks as if the 2 black wires were burnt off (im guessing those are grounds?) so my question is could this cause my trans to flair?

i just got it serviced for the valve body and all the fluids were changed
