Any Altima Owners?
Im getting fizzled out on trucks, even though i want a '01 to '02 Duramax. But for now, i want a nice car. Been looking at the '07 to '09 Nissan Altima's. Would prefer the 3.5 SE 4-door. Ive always liked Nissan, they make great cars and to me, that model Altima is one of the slickest looking rides around. Anyone on here own the year range im wanting? If so list your opinion on the car from likes to any down falls, etc. Doin a little research before i actually go through with locating one.
When i buy one, this is exactly what i want... Major droilage...

The 2 doors (my only experience with the current style), are very nice. My only gripe is rear sight lines. It's pretty cramped back there, but it's probably better with a 4 door. I'd love to get my hands on a new 370 though.

I had one as a rental the last time I was in Charlotte, NC about a month ago. It had a CVT. It wasn't too bad. Reasonable power when you put your foot in it. It did make some odd noise when it was in gear, almost like it had an exhaust leak, but it didn't do it in park or Neutral so I assumed it was just how the transmission sounded.

We got one for my wife, a 2009 2.5 SE. It's a very nice car. Her's is the 4-cylinder with the CVT. In retrospect I probably wouldn't buy the CVT again, and neither would she. It gets a little confused from time to time. If you do much throttle modulation for any reason it takes the transmission a long time to catch up. Other than that one gripe it is an awesome car. Leather, heated seats, good stereo, comfortable ride, plenty of room. I'm 6' and my brother is 6'4" and we have absolutely no problems riding in the back for long periods of time. Gas mileage around town is about 26 and it gets about 33mpg on the interstate. We've taken it on 2 7+ hour trips with no complaints.

We have an '07, 2.5 cyl , 4 door model. Other than the leather and the 6 cyl option, it has everthing else on it. There's plenty of leg room in the front, and I'm 6'2". I hate the sight line on all three mirrors. You can't see that well in reverse, and the side mirrors are on the small side. But , the handling and power is nice. It's not my favorite car, but the wife loves it.

Im just honestly tired of having a truck, i wanna a comfortable riding car, something to jump in and cruise to California if needed. Seems alot of women have the Altima, i like the Maxima's though the 2010's are fugly i think.
This model i do like though in the Maxima 2006
