Default another Q about my new ranger

i just got a 1993 ranger xlt 2wd with a 2.3 2 plugs per cyl and i was told i have to run iridium plugs in it is this true? any ideas?

You can run the standard copper core plugs. Also found this..

Just going to give you a heads up...changing spark plugs and wires are a PITA on any 4cyl ranger...just get the autolite platinums and you'll be set. Thats what I ran in my ranger, regular copper's work to.

my 2-cents?? run what came from the factory-motorcraft plugs for sure!

x2 motorcraft OE are the way to go.

thanks for the input guys i ended up running factory plugs which were autolite iridium's ran me 599 a plug but she runs like a champ now

Good luck i have a 93 ranger. i have changed the plugs dont remember what kind i used thought. get a good extension and a swivel and be pacient

Luckily it's the 2.3. The 3.0, the easiest way to do the rear plug is to pull the passanger tire, and go through the fender well.
