96 chubby S10 oil pump
Alright, so the oil pump in my friends
96 S-10 is shot, its a 2wd 4cyl which i think is a 2.2L
Now my question is, do we have to pull the entire motor
to be able to change the pump? this is what im told by pep boys.
or is there a better way to swap the pump?

To get to the oil pump you have to remove the oil pan. If there is a cross member in the way (not 100% sure) you either have to pull the engine out or remove the engine mounts and then lift the motor up so you have enough clearance to get the pan out.
How do you know it is shot? Check to make sure the gauge is reading properly first.
