Default 83 f150 tire size ?

Can I fit 33/12.5 on an 83 f150? The front is stock height and the rear has about 2in of lift to level it out. If not what's the biggest I could go without scrubbing

I ran 33s on a stock 84 F150 and a couple Broncos that I had in the past with no problems. They cleared the fenders fine, but would rub the radius arms at full lock of the steering. Also, they do come close to the front bumper, so I built 1-1/2" spacers push the bumper out a little.

Here is one of the Broncos, a 94, with 33s and the bumper mover forward using spacers. Actually cleared the front fenders better than it looks in the photo.

Ok cool. With the measurements I took I should be able to run 35's with a little play. That's a good idea for the bumper if its too close ill do the same

35's might be pushing it a little. They might fit going straight down the road, but turn the steering wheel and see what they do. Have someone turn the steering wheel as you watch and you will see what I mean, the gap closes up real fast. And if you do any offset to help keep the tires off the radius arm which you would probably need with 35's the problem increases.

i have a stock 95 with 31's and it will rub at a full turn in the front but with a leveling kit im sure 33's will give u tons of room to clear, i know 35's would fit but a small amount of cutting may be needed to not rub at all, how wide is the rim your putting them on? that can make a diffrence to

As I mentioned above, I had no problems with the 33's other than rubbing on the radius arms at full turn, but that doesn't hurt anything other than make a little noise if you have tires with any kind of side lugs. With the Ford's TTB front suspension, you have to be careful trying to level out the front or you will get into replacing more parts than you want to. On my 84 I had a broken coil in the front so I got the bright idea to go with heavy coils to level it out, which it did and looked good, but after very short while I noticed the front tires starting to wear on the outside edges so I took it in to be aligned and was told the camber was to far off that it could be corrected with the eccentric bushings on the upper ball joints and that the best sollution would be to get extended axle drop bracket or go back to the correct springs. At the time I didn't want to mess with the axles so I just put the correct springs back on, and an HD set of springs have been sittng in the garage ever since, reminding to think thing over better. Part of the reason I am on here asking questions before I go out and buy me a Jeep and start wrenching on it. Sorry, get an little windy. Hope this helps.

I had a 94 F150 with the 302 and had exhaust manifold problems with it. Had one replaced and it was no time and the new one leaked as bad as the old one. I had thought about putting on a set of shorty headers, but I didn't like the truck well enough to drop the cash.

I was looking at it yesterday and behind the bumper the tire well extends down the length of the bumper. So I guess id have to trim that if I moved the bumper forward. Ok another ? Now. This truck is getting on my nerves. I put a brand new sylenoid on it and a brand new.alternater and new belts. Battery still isn't getting charged. Had the alternater check out it is hooked up right and putting out plenty of power. But they said my voltage regulater is bad. So I replaced it with a brand new one. Same problem. So would it be easier and more worthwhile to follow the wires to find which one is bad or just go to the junkyard and grab another wiring harness and throw on it and hope its good?

Thanks...and it was pretty low budget...$50 wheels, $120 wheel spacers, $550 tires, and $200 lift.

My friend has 35s on his 88 F250 stock and it doesn't rub except a little bit at full lock.
