Just did the "500" mile oil change on the motor actually at about 450 miles but close enough.
I do have a question however that is pretty amateur but ima ask anyways since this is my first motor break in: The motor oil looked pretty clean and shavings were minimal (and very very small) on the magnetic plug, i heard this is normal (i did not cut the first filter at a 50 mile change to look) but since im running Dino oil (Castroil 10w-40) for the first 2000 miles i was just wandering if it is normal for the oil to be a little darker and smell a tad burnt because its conventional oil? Ive changed many of oil but ive never ran oil like this. I will say that its not bad enough that im really concerned but just thought i would inquire.
Thanks!!

Update:
Now have 44" Ground Hawgs. Added zero rate springs on the front which move the axle forward 1.5" and lift the front 1". Still need to do some fender trimming but its coming along nicely. I picked up a trailer to tow the thing. No more highway driving for the truck. Just highway riding! haha
Umm thats all I can think of at the moment that has changed.

I picked up a back pipe bumper for the truck a couple of months ago. it was made for my truck however the PO of the truck had welded the stock bumper brackets to the inside of the frame. There was no way I was going to be able to get the metal seperated from the frame with out tearing it up so i elected to cut the brackets off the bumper and reweld them further spread apart so it mounts to the outside of the frame. I also adjusted their position so I could account for the body lift. It started off as a bumper with rust and old powder coat chipping off. I complete wire wheeled it down and use of air craft remover to get the diamond plate area paint off. then treated it with ospho and then primered it with self etching primer and then put a couple of heavy coats of black bedliner on it. this is how it came out....
and this one is with 1 coat of bedliner i painted the second bumper on (the above pics)

Been working on the front bumper. Not done but hopefully will be after this weekend weather permitting. I just really need to paint the bedliner on it and put it back on. this time its going back on hopefully straighter and stronger. the work ive done to this front bumper started off strong but after hours and days to get to this point just a hour or so a day past two weeks i have just been trying to get it together so its not the best job ever and wont be show quality but hopefully get a few more years out of it now. If it does it does if not oh well dont have much into it besides time haha

Got the tires on the truck this weekend. I did a little bit of trimming in the areas that absolutly needed it just to get the tire on. I plan on trimming more right now its driveable with the trimming Ive done so far however riding up and down the beach it might still rub a bit so im going to go ahead and trim the rest soon. but for now they are on. also I am only trimming to the max of the inner fender in the front for now. If I rub bad I will modify and massage the inner fenders to get more clearance. I dont plan on doing any extreme flexing.
heres a few photos that I took....
