2002 Chevy Cavalier shifter cable.
Is there a way to replace the shifter cable ends without replacing the entire cable? What is exactly wrong, The end of the sifter cable keeps coming off of the cable from the shifter to under the hood. It's the end under the hood that pops on to the linkage near the air cleaner. It pushes on to a little metal ball and it is the little plastic clip that is messed up. Any help Please.
It is a 2002 Chevy Cavalier, 2.2 OHV, Auto trans.

Never mind. I took care of it. I just remover the pin in the shifter arm and ran a bolt through the arm and the cable and fixed it that way. I was told by a transmission shop that would be the best way to repair it with out replacing the entire cable.
