Tying to help out my brother in law. He's got a 2001 Toyota Tacoma sticks shift single cab with 72,000 original miles. He had it in storage for about two years. We replaced the battery and we added new gas but it didn't start. The only way we can get it to start is by pushing it and turning it on in 2nd gear. After that it will never Turn off unless you do from the ignition. Could it be a bad starter? Maybe a starter relay?

I assume it's a no crank situation? I'd start with the neutral safety on the clutch pedal.
