'01 silverado 1500 starting problems
ok well my big brothers truck isnt starting right away like it should. he has to prime the truck 2 times on a cold start EVERY time otherwise it just doesnt start. anyone know what the problem could be?

If the truck has not had a tune up in a while then do one. If it has had one the check the fuel filter first. I have the same truck and the tune up and fuel filter fixed it all.

hahah I have nothing against chevys. just FORD 
. but seriously back to the main post. fuel filter is new, tune up is recent, the only thing I can think of (that someone already posted) is the fuel pump.

Check the fuel pump relay as well. GM uses the oil pressure sensor sometimes as a backup trigger for the fuel pump to turn on. Just in-case the relay stops working so it wont leave you stranded.
