'01 Cavalier: Standard to Power locks?
My fiances car. For Christmas I'm picking up a remote start / alarm system (probably a walmart one like my Maxima had). My question is, she has standrad locks not power. I know I can't do crap for her power windows, but can I convert her locks to power so I can hook up keyless entry?
We have some junkyards but I doubt they have 01 cavaliers. Also trying to get an idea what the conversion may cost. She loves her car and its paid off, so its worth my time to make her day a bit easier.
Also buys me a little slack when I spend 14 hours in the garage with my Jeep

You would have to make sure the BCM has provisions for power locks.
If so then it would just involve swapping the door panels, switches and the lock motors over.

Well I'm not sure the BCM would need to know. Since I don't need the interior switches, the general plan is to get the motors/rods whatever, hook them to the lock rod, and trigger the motors directly from the keyless entry lead(s) on the aftermarket system.
That's what I'm wondering if is possible. She would always lock it by the remote, so no interior changes needed.

If I went ahead and changed the door panels would it be the same thing for the windows? If so I may as well go all the way with it and change the panels, swapping in window motors along with
