waterpump replacement 4.0

So I changed my water pump today... And figured I'd share the experience here... Hopefully some one can get some help through this... And I figured I could give back to this forum a little bit since I've learned a lot and gotta a lot of help here. All in all it wasn't too bad and I'm sure it would go quicker if I had to do it again, I would definitely hope it would go quicker. But this was the first time I did a water pump on my own on any vehicle... So It was a nice feeling of accomplishment when I finished!!!!!!
If this is your first time doing this, expect it to take all day... It did for me anyway... I started at 11am and finished at 8pm, but that was with a trip to two junkyards and the part store.

You'll need basic hand tools:
sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc...
new pump, gasket, thermostat, hoses, etc...
also razor scraper, gasket tac, gasket remover, brake cleaner, coolant, etc...

So this is changing a waterpump on a 96 xj 4.0 auto.

Here it is:

Everything gathered

Hehe it would be better if you posted this in the write-up section. Chances are this thread will get buried or closed by a mod within a day or two.

This is what took a lot of time for me... Was scraping all the old gasket off and just generally cleaning up some of the grime off the front of the engine...
But be very careful scraping as you don't want to gouge anything and you want to keep gunk out of your motor. Plus it's a back killer especially when you have a bad back.

Once your to this point... It's just reassembly... Use spray tac to get your gaskets in place... Bolt new pump back in... thermostat then housing....
Then get all your hoses and such back in place...
Reroute serpentine belt...
Put electric fan back in... Fan shroud back in...
