Removable Door Mod (Adding mirrors in 5 Mins *Made Easy*)
So for those states that require side view mirrors here a quick and simple solution if you want to drive with no doors and be legal. Takes 5 Mins to install.
Though I live in Texas and all you need is the rearview mirror to be legal (may still get stopped) to be able to see 200 ft behind you, I do like having side mirrors for the safety to see those kids trying to be Paul Walker from fast and furious (May he R.I.P). I bought some Coleman Mad Max ATV Mirrors. $19.99 per mirror at Walmart in the motorcycle accessory isle. -The UPC Barcode # is 076501065466 -The Item # 0115-01050 Tools Needed:11mm Crescent wrench (for the bolts on the u-bolt), and a 11/16 Crescent wrench (to tighten the mirrors). All hardware is included with mirror. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...3f6655b5a2.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...f80cd780df.jpg Attach the Bracket to the mirror rod.
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...f3d2c9a0d1.jpg Leave a small gap to move / adjust it if needed, can always tighten it when done.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...dd5f7b0e5e.jpg Insert the u bolt through the hinge. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...69af4e0b97.jpg Add the included bracket - washer - Bolt- then tighten.
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...40f5ec8ccc.jpg
Done! Sweet! I just cut my hinges, but haven't driven without my doors yet because I don't want to be stopped. Sounds like the law is the same for Minnesota, but in reality what the officer says is the law so I don't want to give anyone an excuse to be a jerk.
