How To Install A Transfer Case Drop On An XJ *All Read*

4 Attachment(s)
Alright well i installed my TC Drop (as a temp fix) as of yesterday, and i really didnt have a lot of ideas of exactly how to do it. Then i searched JF and i was suprized to see that there wasnt one here either, so heck i decided that i would wing it and snap some pics.

*Please Note* A TC Drop is deemed only a temporary fix for correcting vibrations and the angle of the driveshaft. It is highly recommended to go with a SYE/Hack N Tap to eliminate the problem.

Step 1
Get a jack and rest it up against the cross member suporting the Transfer Case, once it is rested then start unbolting the bolts.
*Note* Will require a breaker bar

Step 2
Lower the jack 2-3 inches in order for you to get enough space between the unibody and the crossmember to put your spacer in.

Step 3
Remove the stud . To do this you will need to put two nuts back to back on the stud. Make sure that the bottom nut is very tight against the top nut to avoid stripping the stud as i did. Once tight then put a wrench on the top nut and start unscrewing the stud. This picture is a little bad but it kindof gets the point across.

Step 4
Align up the new bolts and the spacers (this might requre a little force) then raise up the jack and screw in the bolts. Make sure they are tight and you have a TC drop.
