How To Install Pads On a D30 *Writeup*
 

Tools you will need:
Large C Clamp
Socket Set

Tools you may need:
Turkey Baster

Note: If you change your breaks make sure to change both driver and passenger side at the same time.


1. Remove front tire of desired side.

2. Take cap off of brake fluid reservoir.

3. You will then see your brake setup as seen here.

4. Use a large C-Clamp to compress the caliper cylinder, keep an eye on the reservoir and make sure it doesn't overfill. If it is about to overfill you can use a turkey baster to take some of the break fluid out.

5. Take both of the bolts holding the caliper on, they will either be bolts or Allen heads.

6. Hang caliper on your coil spring, do not let the caliper be held up by the brake line.

7. Remove your old pads from the caliper and install the new pads.

8. Reinstall the caliper with new pads installed.

9. Compress your breaks with the Jeep off to make sure they will pressurize, if they do then move on to the next side.
