Rough Country L/A Bushing Replacement
So the time came my bushings got worn out and decided this would make a good write up.
First your gonna have to jack up the front of the Jeep and let the front axle droop to make this easy.
And aways remember to add extra support under the vehicle for safety "Jack stands aways the best"
So here's the new parts 2 piece bushings, and washers with snap rings and even a grease fitting.
Here's the typical tools your gonna need.
First thing. Get the Jam nut loose just a half turn. You don't wanna back it off all the way or your gonna lose your alignment setting.
Next removed the L/A bolt
Pull the arm down and unscrew from the control arm

Rough Country L/A bushing replace
Make it easy lock it in a vise and remove the snap ring.
I know it came with 2 rings but I only removed one.
I used a ball peen hammer to knock the bushings out.
Now with everything apart now we can start assembling the new bushings.
Install new snap ring and washer and then bushing. Doesn't hurt to put axle bearing grease in during assembly to prevent premature failure.
Next the ball helm

Rough Country L/A bushing replace
Next bushing
Then washer
Now it's a tight squeeze so the snap ring is not going to just go in. But I got it in just enough but not snapped in yet.
This is were the 30mm socket helps alot to get the snap ring to sink and lock with some help from the hammer.
Just to make sure the ring is snapped in.. I punched it with a flat head screw driver around the entire ring and now it's looking good!
