just realized what you meant by crossbars. haha.
don't think the zj roof rack crossbars will fit the xj.
but i'm sure all the years of xj will fit each other. haven't tried tho.
i actually used to have a set of thule bars on my xj. fit perfect. i'm sure the yakima bars will fit also.

trying to do it cheap. A friend has an older ZJ so I'm gonna try his.
The guy I got it from had ZJ bars on his xj but didn't remember what year they came off of
