I have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee laredo (zj) and I just got my radiator replaced.. Upon replacing the mechanic told me I was good to go.. Leaving the place my transmission fluid leaked all out.. Wentt back to mechanic in another vehicle because the car won't move, and he stated the he left a yellow that goes under radiator,( I guess it suppose to make it not leak or something) but I drove all across town. Auto zone and oriley said the piece will come in a coolant kit but no one carry it.

Ace stated it came with the draincock but I don't know what that is...

If I could just please know the name so I could order it online or go to the repair place and give a specific name for the part.. Thanks

It's just a small yellow piece go under the radiator.. Don't know exact location that's what the mechanic said.

The yellow clip that locks the transmission cooler line onto the cooler.

Like mentioned above, the only thing I can think of is the yellow clip that retains the trans cooler line to the fitting before it goes to the radiator cooler. If so then cut the fitting off and splice rubber hose, or go to auto parts store and buy a new one. You might need to buy a fitting to get the clip though, and worst case buy a new cooler line.

Im pretty sure the Dorman 800-714 will have the clip you need.

Hey! Wait a minute! Make the mechanic do the legwork! You paid to have the work done and it wasn't done right. Consider if there is trans damage because of slipping. If he's just a friend, that's one thing, but if he's in business, he should go for the repairs HE caused.
