So i go and pick up my new'er' Jeep today. Its a 04 WJ with only 99xxx in a 4.0 and im looking to put a lift on it very shortly haha

Looking for some opinions on RC, IRO or other companies out there with 4in lifts for the WJ. Also i know RC offers a 4in lift then a 4in "X-Series" lift which i was curious of the difference if anyone has those lifts.

Pretty sure i got my tires and all picked out so thats not a problem but some help with the lift will be appreciated. Thanks guys

Pic is attached btw

That thing looks identical to mine except for the clear parking lights and the white grill. I have the base 2000 Laredo with chrome grill and amber park/turn lenses. 4.0 and 242 t-case. Is yours a Limited? The window vent shades are the best thing I put on.

As far as the lift is concerned, I haven't a clue as to what you should do. I'm sure other guys can tell you.

Zone is the best bang for the buck. RC, you still need to get a track bar.

;)

The problem with the WJ is there isn't a lot of aftermarket support for it yet. That and the fact that the bumpers are not really strong but are more fascia than bumpers. I'd like someone to come out with a front grill guard that doesn't make it look stupid.

Looks good, I miss my WJ. I know Rusty has a lift for them as well. It really sucks that they only made them from 99 - 05. Seems like they weren't in production long enough to get a big following in the aftermarket sector.

What setup you thinking about running. Tire size? Steallership near me has 2 WJ's for sale. $8,999 is a bit high for them though. I drool every time I drive by them just sitting there with no one to lovem'

I bought my 2000 WJ 2 years ago and paid $4200 to a guy who only sells PA cars here in upstate NY. It's a 4.0 with 242 case and no tow package. It didn't have a single spot of rust, had been detailed, and had impeccable service records. I just couldn't pass it up. It looked like a soccer-mom had owned it. I haven't done anything to it yet besides the usual brakes, tires, coolant and oil changes yet except a left front CV half shaft because of a torn boot, and rear wheel bearings and seals because one seal was leaking. It currently has 150K on it.

It currently has 245/70R16's on it and without a lift, I can't go any bigger.

In the spring it needs to have the A/C gone over because of a coolant leak and the heater blower motor and resister replaced. This is normal for all jeeps, right?

I bought my WJ for road work in deep snow and so far I'm totally satisfied.

Yea all i really plan on is a 4inch lift, 33's, and posibily upgrading axles and gears if need be .. Dont wanna dump thousands into it since i dont want it to be a strictly offroad vehicle but more a good looking yet still fully functional badass WJ. Also want to do an aftermarket bumper like one of the bumpers from Kevins Offroad . Com so that will help stuff in those 33's
