WJ mild lift and tire combo
I know this subject is reviewed and commented on a lot, but my son is getting confused at reading all the different combinations and ways to add a mild lift and a decent set of tires. He has a '99 Grand Cherokee, 4.0 l., 4x4, auto and is bone stock. He would like to have a lift @ 3-4" and is looking at the Rough Country kit. He would like to know if it is too aggressive for the occasional off road romp. He has entertained the poly spring blocks and different coils. He would like to know if there are any coils from off another vehicle that will bolt up and give him the lift he wants instead of dropping 6 bills on the whole kit. Also, what is the biggest tire he should run? Again, he is occasionally going off road, mostly road. Any advice would be helpful. Thanx

A BB will only give 2",if he wants 3-4" he will have to do a kit. There are no other vehicles i know of that have interchangeable coils with WJ's and even if there were 3-4" lift on a WJ will require more than just coils at which point it would be better to just buy a kit.
Do not cheap out when lifting a WJ or else you will have a terrible ride,if he wants "mild" than stick to 3" or under,4" is about the limit on stock CA's.
At 3" i would say stick with 31's or 32's,i'm on 4" lift with approx. 33's and it took trimming to run them.
