Default WJ front ujoint conversion

Hi Guys.
Just ordered a 4" lift for my 03WJ and know I'm going to have to deal with my front driveline. I would like to do this on the cheap if possible. I have looked at carolina drivelines and would prefer to spend less for now while keeping them in mind for the future when $ is more plentiful.

Below are pictures of both ends. I am not familiar with either of these setups although the axle end looks normal except for that balancer thingy. The transfer case end looks like garbage to me. Rezzpa or something like that. I have search around and it seems like most WJs have that funky joint at the axle end only or on both ends. Mine seems like an anomaly. But I'm new to the WJ and jeeps in general. Lots of Chevy experience

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try Morris 4X4. I believe they have the yokes you need for this conversion.

Thank you. I'll look there. I suppose I could hit the junkyards to find a 247tc with the proper yoke as well. I may end up spending the money and getting a good shaft. I'll see how the lift goes first though. Might need to pour more money into something else first.

The first picture you posted looks like the front of the rear shaft the muffler is in the back ground !

X2

Check the length and compare to a ZJ front shaft. On the ZJ I had, I had a shop swap out the CV equipped front shaft in it for one from a ZJ that had u-joints. If they're the same lengths, maybe you can do the same thing. That would be pretty cheap.

I'm pretty sure it's the front axle end. I don't remember shooting any rear DL pics. Just a weird angle maybe. But you never know.

I think i'll go ahead and install the lift, then see what the angle ends up being. I'm sure I can get around the block a couple times without it blowing up.
After I do that, i'll remove the front DL and take my measurements and visit the junkyards. I'm sure there will be a 247 t-case somewhere with a u-joint yoke I could rob. Then as long as the ZJ DS is close to the same length, i'll snag one. If not, I'll root around and see what I can find.

Thanks for the replies.
