Wrong bolt pattern. The ZJ is 5 on 4.5, the WJ is 5 on 5. You can run spacers to correct the pattern, but they're not cheap.

And what the adapters will cost you can buy steel cragar rims that fit. Some of the xjs came with 16s and are the same lug pattern they will fit.

Most likely a "good deal" on some used tires.

I think he'll find 16's are more expensive than 15's and 15's come in many diametrical inch sizes. A lot cheaper down the road to stay with the 15's. JMHO.

As others say, newer Jeep wheels WON'T fit older GC's 1998 and older, unless you use a 5 x 5" spacer. As far as I know, all 1984-2001 Cherokee XJ and 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ wheels should fit any 1993-1998 GC ZJ, as they all use the 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern.

Have you tried tire rack or even sams club? Most tire shops can order any size tire you want if they don't have them in stock.

Yep i totally recommend wallmart. but just bring them the rims and have them put the tires on the rims and put the wheels on yourself if you think they might rub at certain points just because they have a bunch of requirements for safety.

Yes, I've run into that before. You ask for a particular tire size with your jeep there and they'll tell you they won't mount them because they won't fit your jeep. Then the guy leans over and tells me to just bring in the rims and they're allowed to mount anything. The only problem is you don't get the road hazard guarantee.
