dont worry about it, in this site there is no such thing as a dumb question,
the front fogs, I have them wire to the stock set up,, so I use the stock switch, bu you can always be creative and put a switch near the center console, or any good reachable spot at the dash... for the led strip,, well you got me there... Ive always had that same question..

Depending on the strip you get...
I would either wire it into the tail lights, brake lights or brake lights and turn signals. I wouldnt use a switch.

If you take your time it would not be very hard to wire up a switch in the console at all. Run the line, cut the hole, wire the switch, install.
Ill tell my wife you like her picture.

For mounting switch my favorite tool is a drimmel. Just get one with the fine grinding tips - (there about 3/16 wide and about an inch long) They work great for putting holes in plastic parts for switches. I don't have an pictures on had of the work, but I used it to install my light switches on top the center console. Also put a push button horn switch in the front dash. Just use the drimmel to make a small hole roughly smaller than the size of the back of the switch. Then try to put the switch in the hole. If it doesn't fit right drill it out in the places that need more notching. Just remember you can always take off but you can't put back.

I put my switches in my console and my winch switch is on my dash, need to find a more current pic but you get teh idea, swapped those out for ones with covers but still same placement.
