wheel spacers
Hey guys
I have a 04 grand cherokee limited it has the tire preasure monitoring system. I am going to put on a 2" coil spacer in front for leveling also will allow for wider rims and tires. If I use wheel spacers will the tire monitoring system still work and is there any negative effect on the vehicle from using wheel spacers or should I just get wider rims

pretty much backspacing is where the center of the rim lays within the ring of the rim.
if that makes sense.. lol
but it shouldnt effect anything i wouldnt think
oh and the 2" leveling... dont go 2". they make specific ones for leveling. i know for older gc's its 3/4''

yea, 2" is way too much for just leveling the front....as long as the wheels you are buying can accomodate the valve stem off your factory wheels(that is where the sensor is located) you should be ok

I want to use the factory rims, With a bigger tire that is the only reason for considering aluminum spacers
On the other note when I measured the front seemed to be about 1.5 inches lower than the back

wheel spacers only so the wheels dont look so inset on the jeep you know when you look at a stock cherokee from behind and the wheels seem tto be tucked way inside I just want the wheels to come to the edge of the body like iif I was to run a wider rim. As far as leveling goes I measure the straight line of the body and then took a look at what 2 inches taller in the front would look like and it seemed fine. Im going to measure the front wheel well and then jack the front up 2 inches and see how it looks that will give me the idea before tearing **** apart. thought about the 2 inch front and back buut then I would have a jeep 2 inches taller still with the same stink bug rake

well you've somewhat confused me here...i guess your only question is about the monitoring system,it should be fine, like i said it's just a sensor built into the valve stem but i do want to re-itterate 2" pucks would put the front much higher on a stock wj...your factory ride hieght should be,from center of wheel to bottom of fender, about 18 front,18.5 rear if it's way off from that maybe you should find out whats going on there

Well I just went out and measured.
The front is 17&3/4 to the bottom of fender and the back is 18&1/2 so if I put 2" coil spacer on all 4 corners I still will be sitting lower in the front.
I need some 2.5 inch coils in front and a 2" coil spacer in the back. does anyone make a 2.5 inch coil for the front of this wj
