Default What is this part?

What part of the steering is this? Should it have play in it? When my buddy turned the wheel it had some play in it. When I move it with my hand it moves a lot!

That is the track bar. It looks like you have worn bushings at the both ends, if you're having death wobble problems you just found the cause. As an added note, change over to a Wix oil filter at you next oil change. That Penzoil filter is made by Fram and are the worst oil filters you could ever use.

Damn I had no idea about the filter, I got the premium oil change at the shop too.... Can I just replace the bushings?

The filter drains back into the engine.. you can change it easily w/o much oil loss. Wix are very good filters, but i've found O'Reilly filters are good too.. and about 1/2 the price. My local O'Reilly has a display with Wix, Fram and house brand cut in half so you can see how they're made. GoReilly!
