What i did today :-)

5 hours to replace front coil springs. I needed to take out sway bar link and the rear bolt on the lower front control arm on both side to get it low enough. With my new springs in place (OME 1" lift) it was difficult to get the bolt in the control arm. I used some time to deal with it, but when i placed the jack in a angle ( i liftet it with some wood in the front so it was 3" higher ), then the jack moved the control arm up and forward :-) Something i noticed was that the abs cable is in some stretch in the upper fixing when the springs is fully stretched, i dont think its to bad, but should i fix it in some way, its only a 1" lift, but i think it could stretch more than 1" more than the stock spring.

So you did a 1 lift over stock? Did you not have a spring compressor? It only takes like an hour to swop springs if you got one. Unhook shock and sway and you got room. I got 1 in front and two lift in back and I'm happy with it, kinda a daily so that about all you want to keep a nice ride to it

5 HOURS??? I replaced my shocks front and back and added 2" BB all around in less than 2 hours...didn't have to do anything but unhook the sway bar(which broke while doing so it will be removed soon) and shocks...had my dad stand on the axle to lower it and used a bar to pry the coil into place, and it was in:thumbup:

Yes, i used spring compressors, but i'm maybe to carefully with using them since there is lot of force in a compressed spring, so i used two on the orignal spring (on each) to get them out and i used four on the new springs (on each). The stock spring i can take out and in in 1 hour. I released the lower control arm and sway bar link to get the axel low and removed the shocks, brakes and abs cable to get good work space. I didnt have to use any force on anything to get the new springs in place. The car is old and many of the bolts and nuts i think have never been taken loose. I used plenty of time to get the bolts back in the control arm, that was the hardest work.

Did you do something with your abs cable when using 2" lift? Something else that you needed to use on a 2" lift, longer sway bar links?

I pulled the sway bars out...and no problems with ABS cable.
