Default What happens IF?

Grand Cherokee 2004

What happens if:

1) I go ahead and change my fuel filter without relieving the fuel tank preassure as recommended in the Haynes manual?

2) Change the engine oil filter before bleeding/emptying the engine oil?

to make it short can I just go ahead and do it?

appriciate all those who help

1) You will be sprayed with gas, it is under high pressure. BLEED the pressure off
2) While my oil is draining I change the filter. Are you talking about just changing the filter and not the oil? If so, not recomended.

Okay, I drained the engine oil yesterday and filled the engine with the new oil and then remebered I forgot to change the oil filter SO now that the engine is filled with new oil can I still go and change the filter or this has to be done when the engine is drained from all oil?

yep that would be the case. not tragic, but your nice clean oil will certainly look dirty very much quicker then normal. Just change the filter and you will be fine. Just make sure you make a note for the next time.
