Well POOP my sunroof is being A JERK!
I have read thru each thread regaurding sunroof issues and each go damm near unanswered! Well the ones related to the same issue.... And no Duct Tape aint the answer!
So here is the deal, its being tempermental, and will open and close when it wants to! Once open it wont close! Now that I got it to close it wont open! So of course I have a friend in it the other day and she says oh sweet didnt know your jeep had this and open its up! UHG! So now...yep you guessed it its open and wont shut all the way! Lol
I hear the motor thingy goin but glass wont budge. Is there a simple way of cleaning the track?
And its on my 97 JGC not the Wrangler ;-)

There is no simple fix, sorry. I managed to get mine shut and adjusted it as flush to the roof as i could and then pulled the fuse so I could never open it by accident.

I think there is junk in the tracks, I hear it tryin to move but dont move, does the glass have to come off to clean it? Or is there a simple trick someone might know of to do it?

I have found it to be the control assembly at the very back of the window assembly(little black box). You have to drop the headliner to get to it. in particular, it is broken solder joints on the board. I resoldered the connections and it works fine. Have done this on 2 different vehicles now.

Well Ol Blue sent me the Repair Manual, looks like a challenge for me. Gonna have to get my butt in gear and outta bed this morning and go check it out. My guess is hoping I will go out there and it will close lol, so in the long run Jomps... I have no clue yet.
