Ok, so I have had my 97 GC for about two years, it needs some work but every time I try to do that work something else comes up.. Example we have had some heavy rain the past couple weeks and in my cargo area drivers side the rug is soaked? It hasn't been driven? I sat inside and can not see where the water is getting in at??? Any ideas???? It's really bothering me I keep wanting to sell or keep I can't make up my mind...



That is the area where the wetness happens. Your thoughts?

my xj leaks in the cargo area and in the front floor boards during rain. the front is due to a cable running through the hole in the a pillar where the door wires run.

the back i believe is coming in from behind the tail light. on the xj there is a plug there that i have no idea what it does but im missing mine. you can't see where the water is coming down but i did find where it's coming out and it's where two pieces of sheet metal overlap.

pull your carpet out and trace it down. wet soaked carpet stinks!!

Yea it does stink!!!! I had an issue with the sun roof and front glass last year and then all of a sudden the rear was soaked and I sins see any water running or dripping from any where I have new headliner I put in so I know it's not coming from up top, I might also pull the plastic and see what's behind it...
