Default Cam sensor replacement

Was planing to change the Cam sensor on my 04 WJ 4.0 this weekend. I bought it from the dealer and it's just the round sensor with two screws now is it just take off the old one and replace or do I have to put it in specific timing? Thank you

You mean crank sensor? And no need to mess with timing. These bolt on. Some have adjustable settings, but yours should not.

Just remove the 2 bolts and slap the new one on. If you take out the oil pump drive, THAT'S when things get dicey.

You shouldn't unless the o-ring is leaking or you're changing the camshaft.
